Many lawyers use media cases for self-promotion rather than for the benefit of their clients. Often times this self-serving tactic backfires and the accused is the one left paying the price. Reporters routinely pick and choose the most dramatic comments and often air them in a way other than the way the comment was intended. The news is a business and will air only what they think will bring them the highest ratings. They have no concern for who they hurt along the way.

Bigney Law Firm has handled many high-publicity and media cases. On May 22, 2011, David Bigney appeared as a guest on “Geraldo At Large” to discuss the Casey Anthony trial. 

Despite having a good working relationship with the media, we only speak with reporters when it is either beneficial to our client, or if we’re asked to provide an expert opinion on a particular matter.

We have appeared on the “Ask a Lawyer” program on PBS. We have been regular guest hosts on “the Morning After Show” which aired on O-ROCK 105.9 and on the “Forecaddie” Show on ESPN radio.
